We provide training in art fundamentals, with experiences in Drawing/Painting, Contemporary Media, Sculpture/Ceramics. and Performance. In each area students are taught the fundamentals of fine art, similar to what they would receive in a Fine Art class at the middle school or high school level. Students with more skill are challenged to go further and become more complex. The majority of students who attend are either skilled in art or interested in its possibilities. Students always have a lot of fun (this is a summer camp!) and we have many students come back year after year. The instructors are all upper division Art Education Majors who are skilled in the areas they teach. We also have the resources from a studio tech in ceramics who provides students a tour of our amazing ceramics facilities. New to this year, to keep things fresh, we have the Alive Theatre actors to instruct students in a week of acting, set design and play-writing. Expanding students’ knowledge of the arts.
Students will spend one week in each area of study during the course of camp. One week experiencing Drawing/painting/Contemporary media, one week in Sculpture/Ceramics and one week in Performance. The very last day of camp is our gallery show and group performance. Don’t miss out!
